1. Our commitment
GTRYP LLC is committed to ensuring that gtryp.com is accessible to people with disabilities, in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We consider accessibility a core part of good editorial design and we work continuously to improve the site.
2. Measures we take
The site is designed to work with keyboard navigation and screen readers. We use semantic HTML, meaningful heading hierarchies, and descriptive alternative text for all editorial photography. Colors are chosen with attention to contrast, and text can be resized without loss of content or functionality.
We test the site regularly with the latest versions of common assistive technologies, including NVDA, VoiceOver and JAWS, and we address accessibility issues as part of the same editorial cycle as our content updates.
3. Known limitations
Some historical articles may include photographs whose alternative text is less detailed than our current standard. We are working through the archive to bring these up to date.
Videos, when they are embedded, are hosted on third party platforms whose accessibility features may vary. We add transcripts and captions where they are available.
4. Reporting a barrier
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on the site, please write to editors@gtryp.com with a description of the issue and, if possible, the URL of the page in question and the assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within five working days and to fix confirmed issues within thirty days.
5. Formal complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility complaint, you may lodge a complaint with the applicable body in your jurisdiction. For readers in the United States, this is the Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division.
