1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies allow the website to recognize your device on subsequent visits, to remember preferences, and to collect information about how the website is used. Comparable technologies include local storage, session storage and pixel tags. This Policy uses the term "cookies" to refer to all of these technologies collectively.
2. The cookies we use
GTRYP uses a small and deliberately limited set of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not participate in behavioural retargeting networks, and we do not sell information collected through cookies.
Strictly necessary cookies: these support core site functions such as loading pages, remembering that you have dismissed a banner, and delivering the correct language of the site. These cookies do not require your consent because the site cannot work correctly without them.
Analytics cookies: we use a privacy-friendly analytics provider to understand, in aggregate, how many people read a given article, what device categories they use, and which countries they come from. IP addresses are anonymized before storage and no cross-site profile is built. These cookies are used only with your consent where required by law.
Newsletter functional cookies: if you subscribe to the newsletter, a cookie remembers your subscription status so that we do not prompt you again on future visits.
3. Managing cookies
You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through the consent banner that appears on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and reloading the site, or by using the cookie preferences link in the footer.
All modern browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the site may not function correctly.
4. Third party cookies
In a small number of cases, embedded content from third parties (for example a video hosted on an external platform) may set its own cookies. When this happens, those cookies are governed by the third party's own cookie policy. We keep such embeds to a minimum.
